Introduction

Welcome to MediConnect ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

MediConnect is a digital healthcare platform based in Silchar, Assam, India, that connects patients with doctors, diagnostic laboratories, and licensed pharmacies. We facilitate bookings, orders, and information — we are not a medical provider ourselves.

MediConnect is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account and use our services independently. Minors may use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at mediconnectsilchar@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.

2. Our Services

MediConnect provides the following services:

  • Doctor Appointments: We facilitate bookings between patients and registered medical practitioners. A platform booking fee is charged at the time of booking. The doctor's consultation fee is payable directly at the clinic.
  • Medicine Orders: We facilitate orders from licensed pharmacies. All medicines sold through our platform are sourced from verified and licensed distributors. Prescription medicines require a valid prescription.
  • Lab Tests: We facilitate bookings with NABL-accredited diagnostic laboratories. Home sample collection is subject to availability in your area.
  • Health Information: We provide general health information for educational purposes only. This does not constitute medical advice.

MediConnect acts as an intermediary platform. The actual healthcare services are provided by independent doctors, labs, and pharmacies. MediConnect is not liable for the quality or outcome of those services.

3. Payments, Fees & Refunds

  • Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. MediConnect does not store your card or bank details.
  • The platform booking fee paid on MediConnect is non-refundable unless the appointment is cancelled by the doctor or service provider.
  • Medicine orders may be cancelled and refunded within 1 hour of placing the order, provided the order has not been dispatched.
  • Lab test bookings may be rescheduled up to 12 hours before the appointment. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the test are non-refundable.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
  • In case of a payment failure where your account was debited but no booking was confirmed, please contact us within 48 hours with your transaction ID.
  • Promo codes and discounts are subject to their individual terms, expiry dates, and usage limits. They cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

4. User Conduct

By using our platform, you agree NOT to:

  • Provide false or misleading medical information or personal details.
  • Book appointments without the intention of attending them.
  • Misuse or fraudulently apply promo codes or discount offers.
  • Upload prescriptions that are forged, altered, or not issued by a registered medical practitioner.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates applicable Indian law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any restricted areas of our platform.
  • Post or transmit any harmful, offensive, abusive, or defamatory content through our platform.
  • Resell or commercially exploit any part of our services without our prior written permission.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect personal information including your name, phone number, email address, and health-related data solely to provide our services.
  • Your data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties for advertising purposes.
  • Health data shared with doctors, labs, or pharmacies through our platform is governed by applicable Indian healthcare privacy regulations.
  • We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data during transmission.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at mediconnectsilchar@gmail.com.
  • By registering, you consent to receiving transactional SMS and email notifications related to your bookings and orders. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.

6. Doctor & Healthcare Provider Disclaimer

  • All doctors listed on MediConnect are independent practitioners. Their credentials are verified at the time of listing, but MediConnect does not continuously monitor their licensure status.
  • MediConnect is not responsible for the medical advice given, treatment provided, or outcomes resulting from consultations booked through our platform.
  • Patients are advised to verify the doctor's credentials independently and to exercise their own judgment.
  • Medical opinions provided through the platform are those of the individual doctors and not of MediConnect.

In case of a medical emergency, please call 108 immediately. Do not rely on MediConnect for emergency medical services.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the MediConnect platform — including the logo, design, text, software, and graphics — is the property of MediConnect and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without prior written permission.
  • User-submitted content (such as reviews or uploaded files) remains your property, but you grant MediConnect a non-exclusive licence to use it for service improvement purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • MediConnect provides its platform "as is" and makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information on the platform.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, MediConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to MediConnect in the three months preceding the claim.
  • MediConnect is not liable for service interruptions, technical failures, or downtime caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through mutual negotiation.
  • If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India.
  • The courts of Silchar, Assam shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings related to these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform. Continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
